A fast learning curve, quicker deployments and rapid time to value are enabled by an intuitive tab- and menu-based interface and a robust set of administrative functions — such as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Active Directory (AD) integration, role-based permissions, administrative and broadcast alerts, multi-organization management, detailed reporting and dashboards and power management.

Easy to deploy
Enable plug-and-play deployment with the KACE SMA’s appliance-based architecture. Simply connect the KACE SMA physical or virtual appliance to your network, and begin managing your environment. Accelerate deployment through real-time integration with directory services, such as LDAP and AD. Leverage your existing directory services to create and manage device or user groups, and for user authentication and permissions to enable single sign-on. Tightly control who has access to specific KACE SMA functionality and machine groups through functional and device permissions.
Intuitive interface and web-based training
With an intuitive interface and web-based training for all new customers, it’s easy to start using the KACE SMA. Guided tours are also available on the KACE SMA support site for each KACE SMA function. Plus, you can upgrade to the latest appliance version with a single click on the management console.
Reporting
Address compliance issues and enable effective asset management with comprehensive, easy-to-use reporting capabilities across the spectrum of the KACE SMA’s functionality. Access more than 90 of the most popular standard reports, or use a flexible, wizard-based reporting tool to easily generate custom reports.
Alerts
Use the robust alerting engine to provide a variety of out-of-the-box alerts. Or rely on the intuitive, point-and-click alert wizard to create alerts for virtually any event, including hardware or software criteria, IP network scan criteria and asset status. Send alerts and reports to specific individuals, distribution lists or all employees—even to end users—for events, such as a planned network outage. Schedule them to run at preset frequencies (such as daily, weekly or monthly) to make sure the appropriate individuals receive information they need.
Organization and power management
Save time and money with a variety of functions that improve IT operational efficiency. Set up multiple KACE SMA environments within a single KACE SMA based on geography, function or other criteria. Aggregate reporting across multiple KACE SMA environments (i.e., organizations) for overall reporting. Take advantage of wake on LAN capabilities to assist with patching and software distribution during off-work hours. Create, enforce and report on power policies and shut down non-essential systems during off-work hours for dramatic energy cost savings.
